The purpose of CAPA competitions is to :
- provide you with a wide range of competitions to consider entering
- challenge and push you out of your comfort zone for the purposes of improving and expanding your photographic skills
- emphasize the importance of READING and COMPLYING with all the competition details, including the eligibility criteria and category definitions – for it is these details which your images will be judged.
You will be allowed to enter up to four (4) images for consideration for submission to CAPA. However, if selected, only one image per photographer can be submitted to CAPA.
Your images must meet the following parameters:
Saved as a jpg with maximum size 1MB
Use sRGB colour space
Dimensions – Long Side 1400 pixels (Landscape), Long Side 1050 pixels (Portrait).
The entry system will not accept your image if it is not sized correctly. You will see an error message to that effect.
The image file name must include the photographer’s name and image title e.g.
Your Name-Image Title.jpg

Fine Art – Close Date: January 16, 2025

Photojournalism – Close Date: February 28, 2025
Curves & Lines – Close Date: March 16, 2025
Canada, My Country – Close Date: April 16, 2025
Annual Photo Challenge: Mastery Of Light – Close Date: May 1, 2025
